Canonteign Kitchen

Serves homemade food which champions local produce. Discover our new breakfast menu, seasonal lunches, homemade cakes, Devonshire cream teas, Barista coffee, and special children’s menu. There is a pretty indoor cafe with table seating and a sofa area around a roaring fire in winter, as well as plenty of outside space for taking in the fresh air, basking in the sun and enjoying the view of the Lily and Swan Lakes. Choose from our sun terrace, and courtyard, or picnic around the grounds.

During weekends and school holidays, our Snack Bar makes light bites, hot drinks and ice creams available outside too. All sandwiches and ciabattas are available gluten-free, as well as a choice of gluten-free cakes, Vegan dishes and cakes (VE on the menu).

Please note our kitchen is NOT a gluten-free kitchen, although we make every effort to avoid cross contamination. Please alert our staff if you have any food allergies and for a full list of ingredients.

Breakfast served 10 am – 11.30 am, Lunch served 12 noon – 3 pm, Cakes and Cream Teas – 10 am – 3.30 pm

Afternoon teas

Indulge in sliced sandwiches, freshly baked scones served with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry jam, Cheese scone with chutney and cream cheese and an assortment of homemade cakes and macarons. Pair your experience with a choice of loose-leaf tea, coffee or elevate the moment with a glass of Prosecco for an added touch of glamour. Available for one person or shared on a tier for two.
