Giant Spider

Created by local volunteers working on behalf of Devon Wildlife Trust, the Forest Garden houses a 2 metre giant metal spider made by local craftsman, Barrie Darling. 

John Hayward, Devon Wildlife Trust's Community Biodiversity Officer explains: “Spiders are a crucial part of woodlands, and our giant spider will tell people more about these small but important animals. The spider can be seen from the main path and should attract more people up to look at the forest garden that the volunteers have helped to create.”

The spider has been given a huge web to live and hunt in and is already causing quite a stir!
